Here is just a small sampling of the many HF transformer designs Bicron has manufactured since its inception in 1964. Constant improvements in design technology, such as SPICE modeling and EDA, have allowed us to constantly expand our range of application . . . along with higher reliability and lowered overall system costs.
High Frequency (HF) Power Magnetics are typically defined as any transformer or inductor with an operating frequency greater than 60Hz. Most of our designs operate at frequencies up to 1MHz. Power ratings can vary from 5VA to 10KVA.
Architectures include E Core, RM Core, Pot Core, U Core and Toroidal. Both ferrite and ferrite composites are available. Device temperature ratings range up to 220°C.
Types of voltage transformer functions include gate drive, pulse, switch mode, feed forward, flyback, inverter, buck boost, and isolation.
